Villie Irene Morris

Villie Irene Morris, age 94, of 721 Crouch St, Troy died Thursday, April 12, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Morris was born October 19, 1917 at Montgomery County, NC, the daughter of Calvin Lewis Eugene and Clita Pearl Tucker Morris. She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church and a former special education teacher's assistant at Biscoe Elementary School. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Claude Edward Morris and sons, Ross Eugene Morris and Otis Herman Morris. She is survived by children: Phillip Morris and wife, Rosa of Dublin, Georgia, Joyce Morris Hicks of the home, Claude Neal Morris of Troy; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday, April 14, 2012 from 6 to 8 PM at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy, NC; other times at the home. Graveside service will be Sunday at 3:00 pm at Love Joy United Methodist Church Cemetery, Substation Rd., Troy with Rev. Mike Davis officiating.
