Calvin Wade Richardson

Calvin Wade Richardson, age 89, of Troy died Friday, September 9, 2011 at Sandy Ridge Assisted Living, Candor. Mr. Richardson was a farmer and worked in furniture plants at Troy, Candor and West End. He was a giving person, helping everybody from children to the elderly. He has left behind many loving family and friends. Helping others was his greatest pleasure in life. Everyone that met him was touched by his happy spirit. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Richardson and son Meredith Wade Richardson. He is survived one daughter, Barbara Ann Lewis of Biscoe; four grandchildren: Sherry Richardson, Keith A. Overton, Paul Calvin Overton and Roger Brian Overton; five great-grandchildren: Josh Capel, Zack Capel, D.J. Baughn, Kathlyn Elizabeth Overton and Sammie Rayne Overton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home.. A memorial and celebration of life service will be held for such a wonderful daddy, husband and friend Sunday, September 11, 2011 at 3pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home 211 N Main St., Troy with Tony Sedberry officiating.
