Jessie Carson Thompson

Jessie Carson Thompson, age 69, of 413 Mill Street, Biscoe, formerly of Troy, died Sunday, August 8, 2010 at his home. Mr. Thompson was born January 7, 1941 in Troy, NC, the son of Marvin and Callie Sanders Thompson. He was a self-employed logger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jessie Blanche Thompson. He is survived by two daughters: Tammy Ingram of Biscoe, Donna Thompson Garcia of Leland; seven sons: Donald Carvin Thompson of Troy, Joseph Carson Thompson of Troy, Jesse Adam Thompson of Star, Archie Martin Thompson of Troy, Kelly Marvin Thompson of New London, Jessie Carson Thompson, Jr of Troy, David Carson Thompson of Ellerbe; two sisters: Irene Wood and Louise Morris, both of Troy; one brother: Jimmy Thompson of Biscoe; 33 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7-9 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy; other times at the home. A graveside service will be Wednesday at 2:00 pm at Lomax Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery, Correll Road, Troy with Rev. Chip Bryant officiating. Arrangements by Pugh-Troy Funeral Home
