Daisy Crouch Coggin

Daisy Crouch Coggin, age 87, of Sandy Ridge Assisted Living, Candor, formerly of Troy, died Tuesday, May 11, 2010 at the facility. Mrs. Coggin was born March 23, 1923 in Richmond County, NC, the daughter of John Franklin and Sarah Alice (Hines) Crouch. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Troy and a former employee of Troy Drapery Corporation. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce E. Coggin and son, Gregory Dale Coggin. She is survived by two sons: Danny Coggin of Mt. Gilead, Gerry C. Coggin and his companion, Fay C. Fretwell of Stuarts Draft, VA; one sister: Frances Hardister of Mt. Gilead; three grandchildren: Lucy B. Patterson and husband Lee Patterson of Durham, NC, Gerry C. Coggin, II of Charlotte, and John M. Coggin of Blacksburg, VA; former daughter-in-law, Susan Moore Coggin of Staunton, VA. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 - 8 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy, NC. A graveside service will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Southside Cemetery, S Main St, Troy with Dr. Phillips McRae officiating. Arrangements by Pugh-Troy Funeral Home
