Lester Cicero Garner

Lester Cicero Garner, age 89, of 424 Green Oak Gap Rd., Mt. Gilead died Monday, August 17, 2009 at his home.Mr. Garner was born April 15, 1920 in Denton, NC, the son of Neurse Alson and Connie (Synider) Garner. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Troy and a retired carpenter. He was a former employee of Myrick Construction. He is survived by his wife: Stella Haywood Garner of the home; children: Linda G Godwin of Mt. Gilead, Sandra G Pineiro and husband, Francis of Fayetteville, Terry Garner and wife, Glenda of Mt. Gilead, Tammy Garner of Mt. Gilead, and Randy Garner and wife, Tonya of Mt. Gilead; Grandchildren: Annette, Melinda, Tonya, Eddie, Gina, Nan, Frankie, Kenny, Bobby, Reid, Colt, Stacy and Dana; Great-grandchildren, Brandon, Trent, Dea, Dustin, Jessica, Jacquelyn, Danielle, Chris, Devon, Robert, Melissa, Lucia, Natalie, Dillon, Justin, Nick, Nevaeh, Diego, Cheyenne and Dakota; Great-great-grandchildren, Ethan and Reese.The family will receive friends Wednesday from 2 pm - 8 pm at Mr. Garner's home. There will be a riverside service held Thursday at 2:00 pm at Mr. Garner's home, 424 Green Oak Gap Rd., Mt. Gilead with Dr. Phillips McRae, Rev. Raleigh Castelloe and Chaplain Gary Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Haywood Family Cemetery, Chip Rd., Mt.
