Cage Cranford

Cage "June" Cranford, Jr., age 84, loving father and grandfather, went to be with our Lord on Wednesday, July 15, 2009.Mr. Cranford was born in Stanly County, NC, the son of Cager Lineberry and Lila (Deaton) Cranford. He was former owner and operator of Cranford Trucking, June's Taxi and Troy Auto Sales. He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn H. McLean Cranford. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by two daughters: Frances Bess and husband, John of Decatur, IL, Connie C. Mason and husband, Jimmy of Troy; two sons: Charles R. "Randy" Cranford and wife, Jerri of Troy, Brian K. Cranford and wife Tracy of Troy; one brother: Donald Cranford of Troy; special friend, Betty Teague of Troy; grandchildren: Kevin, Timmy, Tanya, Jeramy, Cory, Dakota and Riley; great-grandchildren: Adam, Samantha, Angie, Sarah, Lanney, Trenton and Adien.The family will receive friends Thursday from 7-9 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy; other time at 225 Oscar Rd., Troy. The funeral will be Friday at 3:00 pm at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Lee Brock officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, Candor.
