Betty Jean Davis Batten, age 67, of 273 Holly Hills Dr., Troy died Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Autumn Care of Biscoe.Mrs. Batten was born January 20, 1942 in Davidson County, NC, the daughter of William Ed and Martha (Morgan) Davis. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and a former child care giver. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Eugene Batten. In addition to her mother, Mrs. Martha M. Davis of Denton, she is survived by one son: Rodney Batten of Troy; one sister: Shirley D Woody of Blaine; two brothers: William T Davis of Troy and Johnny Davis of Robbins; 2 grandchildren.A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 11:00 am at First United Methodist Church, NC Hwy 109N, Troy with Rev. William Saunders officiating.
