Lannie H. Haywood, age 92, of Autumn Care Of Biscoe, formerly of Chip Rd., Mt. Gilead, died Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at FirstHealth Montgomery Memorial Hospital, Troy.Mrs. Haywood was born April 1, 1917 in Troy, NC the daughter of George Arthur and Wincie (Blake) Haywood. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Troy and a former employee of United Mills. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Rankin Haywood, son, Wyman Haywood, Sr. and grandson, Jeremy Scott Haywood.She is survived by one daughter, Vivian Perry of Candor; one son, Truett Haywood of Mt. Gilead; two sisters: Stella Garner and Alta Allen, both of Mt. Gilead; one brother: G A Haywood, Jr of Mt. Gilead; 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchildThe family will receive friends Thursday from 7-9 pm at First Baptist Church, 401 E. Main St., Troy; other times at the home of Truett Haywood, 481 Blake Loop Rd., Mt. Gilead. The funeral will be Friday at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church with Dr. Phillips McRae, Rev. Raleigh Castelloe and Rev. Gary McNeill officiating. Burial will be in Haywood Family Cemetery, Chip Rd., Mt.
