Pauline Corbett Mullinix

Pauline Corbett Mullinix, age 82, of 1886 Ophir Rd., Troy died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.Mrs. Mullinix was born November 18, 1926 in Troy, NC, the daughter of Paul Wendell and Onoto Futrell Corbett. She was an active member of Ophir United Methodist Church, a homemaker and a proud working member of the Democratic Party. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Parris Mullinix. She is survived by one daughter: Deanna M. Sabatino of Hillsville, VA; one son: Donnie Mullinix of Troy; one brother, Dolon Corbett of Ophir; 6 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren and 4 step-great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends Thursday, March 5, 2009 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy, other times at the home of her son, Donnie Mullinix of 1774 Ophir Rd. The funeral will be held Friday, March 6, 2009 at 11:30 AM at Ophir United Methodist Church, Ophir Rd., Troy with Rev. Jack Luther and Rev. Glenn Hancock officiating. Burial will be in Ophir United Methodist Church Cemetery.
