Alvin Lonzo Frix

Alvin Lonzo Frix, age 85, of 113 Robedo Rd, Mt. Gilead died Monday, January 19, 2009 at Autumn Care of Biscoe. Mr. Frix was born August 23, 1923 in Sylva, NC, the son of Lester Lonzo and Cular (McGinnis) Frix. He was a member of Wadeville Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. He was the owner/operator of Frix Brothers Lumber Company and served on the Board of Directors of the Wadeville Fire Department. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Freeman Frix. He is survived by two daughters: Diane F Hoover and Connie F Mitchell, both of Mt. Gilead; I grandson and 2 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday from 1:00 - 2:00PM at Wadeville Baptist Church, 144 Shoe Factory Rd., Mt. Gilead; other times at the home. The funeral will be Friday at 2:00 pm at Wadeville Baptist Church with Rev. Lonnie Gibson and Rev. Keith Bumgarner officiating. Burial will be in Wadeville Baptist Church Cemetery.
