Bois Parsons Smith, age 81, of 319 Onvil Rd., Mt. Gilead died Sunday, November 2, 2008 at Litchford Falls Health Care, Raleigh. Mrs. Smith was born January 20, 1927 in Candor, NC,the daughter of Clayton Colvin and Margaret Elizabeth Sedberry Parsons. She was a member of Parsons Grove United Methodist Church and a retired nursing assistant. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Laverne Smith, son, Mark Wesley Smith and brothers, Leonard and Howard Parsons. Mrs. Smith is survived by two daughters: Linda S. Lindsey and husband, Clifford of Dublin, OH, Deborah S. Moore and husband, Ronald of Raleigh; three sisters: Elaine Haywood of Troy, Blanche Lamonds of Candor, Sarah Harris of Troy; two brothers: Walton Parsons of Mt. Gilead, Tilton Parsons of Troy; 6 grandchildren: Dr. Clifford Wesley Lindsey and wife, Mary of Atlanta, GA, Leigh Ann Lindsey-Brown and husband, Dr. Carter Brown of Rochester, MN, Jennifer Moore of Greenville, NC, Matthew Moore of Raleigh, Amanda Smith and Kyle Smith, both of Mt. Gilead; great-granddaughter, Charlotte Anne Lindsey of Atlanta, GA; daughter-in-law, Belinda Smith of Mt. Gilead. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh-Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy; other times at the home. The funeral will be Saturday at 2:00 pm at Parsons Grove United Methodist Church, Pekin Rd, Candor with Rev. Bill Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Parsons Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.
