R. C. Holder

R. C. "Feets" Holder, age 89, of Sandy Ridge Assisted Living, Candor, formerly of Byrd St., Troy, died Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst. Mr. Holder was born September 16, 1918 at Randolph County, NC, the son of the late James Albert and the late Ida (Garrett) Holder. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. He and his wife Helen Bulla Holder, who preceded him in death, owned and operated Holders Restaurant in Troy for several years. He is survived by two sons: Jerry Holder and wife Jo Ellen, of Troy, and Randy Holder of Newport News, VA; 2 granddaughters: Amy Holder Ellington and Brooke Holder Davis; 2 great-grandsons: Jackson Holder Ellington and Thomas Chadwick Ellington; 2 great-granddaughters: Taylor Elizabeth Davis and Julia Lee Ellington; sister-in-law, Mary Lee Holder of Troy, NC A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11:00 am at Trinity United Methodist Church, 239 N. Russell Street, Troy with Rev. Bobby Tyson, Jr. officiating. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall immediately following the service; other times at the home of Jerry and Jo Ellen Holder, 121 Alexander Rd., Troy, NC.
