Miriam Haywood Thomas

Miriam Haywood Thomas, age 36, of 5715 Sheriff Watson Rd, Sanford died Monday, November 19, 2007 at Duke Medical Center, Durham. Mrs. Thomas was born May 21, 1971 at Lee County, NC, the daughter of the late Larry E. Haywood and Elizabeth (Dennis) Haywood Furr. She was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. She is survived by her husband Gary Thomas of the home; two brothers: Larry E. Haywood, Jr. of Sanford and Edgar W. Haywood of Denton; stepfather: Bobby Furr of Albemarle; maternal grandmother: Nellie Dennis of Uwharrie. The family will receive friends Saturday from 9:30-11:00AM at Pugh- Troy Funeral Home, 211 North Main Street, Troy. The funeral will be Saturday at 11:00 am at Pugh- Troy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Dennis officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Pleasant Grove Church Rd., Mt. Gilead. Arrangements by Pugh-Troy Funeral Home.
