Maw maw Martha was the kindest, sweetest, most stubborn person you could ever meet but you couldn’t help but love her. I’d spend every summer and weekend with her and paw paw when I could growing up. I’m going to miss calling her and asking her for recipes for foods she cooked for us when we were little (Cream taters, meat loaf and her homemade biscuits) her creamed potatoes were the best part of staying the night with her. She was a very down to earth person who didn’t care if her gifts came from the dollar tree or the mall. She used to always tell me to make her something don’t buy it and for me to save my money. If I learned one thing from Maw maw it was the value of a dollar and to love the smaller things in life because in the end family is all you have. She loved her grand babies and would always brag about us but at the same time she wouldn’t mind threatening to switch us for acting up either (she never would though) She wasn’t afraid to call me out if she thought i was doing wrong but would always tell me no matter what she would always love me because that’s her job. I’m going to miss her calling me out of the blue to tell me she was just thinking about me or had a dream about me. The lord gained a beautiful Angel but I’m glad to know I will always have her looking down on me and my family. Love you always ~ Coco Puff
